A good size, clean double room with bathtub in Seogwipo on Jeju Island for 30,000 won? Yes, there are a few but it took a lot of rejections and high priced motels before we found this one. Walking around in the rain with heavy packs for well over an hour is not a lot of fun, so hopefully this will help future travels avoid the headache!
The Yurakjang motel is a pretty standard “love” motel but it has almost everything you need for a decent price right in the heart of downtown Seogwipo. To the south is the waterfront, and just north is one of the major food streets: “Arang Joeul”, just a few minutes walk to either.
The room has a fan, aircon, bathtub, refrigerator, LCD TV with English language channels, there is even a hat rack! There is no official internet/wifi but I managed to pick up an open wifi network from next to the window in our room, 204.
It’s 30,000 won (about $30) per night for a clean double room. Toiletries are included.

The Motel was to the south west of where the bus from Seongsan dropped us off. Just around the corner (to the north west) is the “Jeju hiking Motel” which is also 30,000 won for a double room and has wifi in the building. We haven’t seen the rooms there but it may be worth checking both places out as they are so close to each other.
