Food: Abalone (Raw)
Location: China Town, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Its a shellfish, sounds harmless enough right? My suspicion should have been aroused when I asked the seller if they “were ok to eat raw?” and his reply being a rather hesitant “sure… if you like”.

VERDICT

Its hard to describe just how horrible this is raw… it might be a delicacy cooked, but alas my taste buds were so insulted that it is unlikely I will even go near it again. Its the only TEST i have ever failed to date, ie. I had to spit it out. Simply disgusting. It was sort of like eating salty vomit…
