Bali is rich in waterfalls, so you shouldn’t be surprised if the locals advise you to visit another one known as Nung Nung. It’s located 75 minutes from Ubud and is one of the least visited ones. Visitors must step down toward the bottom to reach the waterfall.

Java

Java is one of the best islands to visit for two reasons – due to the beauty of the place and the way you can explore it. The scenic views, surrounded by cliffs and an emerald-green river, along with the volcanic nature of the island, make it worth visiting. 

One of the more adreneline fuel ways you can explore Java is by body-rafting. It’s a rafting activity, but without the raft part! You can jump in the water, slide from the waterfalls, climb the cliffs, and float in the river. 

The Green Canyon is the main touristic attraction in Java and the cheapest way to reach it is via a train to Banjar station, then taking the bus to Cijulang.

Bandung was a famous destination for the wealthy at the time of the Dutch colonial days. Thus you can feel the Dutch presence in the heritage architecture and their lifestyle.

Lombok

Lombok is another Indonesian island that must be on your bucket list. Moreover, if you are looking for a place where you can relax and spend your afternoons on the turquoise beaches, with a cocktail in your hand.

Lombok is the home of a mixture of cultures – you’ll find different cultures of Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism that live harmoniously on the island. Also, many festivals take place on the island, Bau Nyale being the most famous one.

Lombok is an island rich in wildlife, beautiful sceneries, and untouched beauty. It’s the perfect romantic getaway for couples.

Sumatra
