Love the Nightlife? Head to Chicago
Chicago is one of the best cities in the world for bars, partying, and having fun. It has a rich prohibition history, but there are rooftop bars, cocktail bars, and piano bars all waiting to be discovered, along with Michelin-starred restaurants. Of course, you’ll find clubs too so you can dance the night away downtown. So head to Chicago and have fun partying in the Windy City.
Looking for a Beach? Try Antigua
There’s a good reason to head to Antigua if you like beach vacations. This beautiful country has a beach every day of the year so you can choose the one you want or try several on a break here. Some beaches come with bars and restaurants, others have watersports and superb swimming, and some are deserted and perfect for a chilled-out day in the Caribbean. Antigua is a popular place for fun in the sun.
Are Watersports Your Thing? Head to Jamaica
Jamaica is a lively and vibrant destination for a vacation, but if you enjoy watersports, you’ll love it here. There are opportunities to go sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing with a spectacular coastline. Scuba diving is world-famous with spectacular reefs, and snorkeling will leave you speechless. You’ll also find other activities in Jamaica, from food tasting to cookery lessons and coffee plantations. So whatever you decide, be it fishing or swimming, Jamaica is the destination for a watersports holiday. And some of the all-inclusive resorts include sporting activities, food, and other entertainment.
Fun in the City? Try Athens
Greece has a lot of exciting things to do, and you can combine culture with relaxation. Explore the old town in Plaka with restaurants, bars, and historic buildings where you can chill over a good meal. Wander through the streets and climb to the Acropolis, one of the most iconic sites in the world, or explore the National Museum of Greece. Think of Greek mythology, Homer, and legends. It all happened in Greece! There’s culture and history wherever you turn in Athens and fine food. It’s an excellent place for a city break or a combination of island hopping with culture.
Foodie Fun? Head to New Orleans
New Orleans is renowned for its music and jazz in particular, but it is also home to some of the best cuisines in the world. There are New Orleans classics like gumbo and boudin, but you’ll find unique dishes like alligator cheesecake. The city is home to Creole, French, and many other cuisines that make up its unique culture. Take a foodie tour, taste bourbon, or learn a NOLA dish in a cookery class. And don’t forget Mardi Gras if you love carnival time. There’s so much to taste that New Orleans really hits the spot when it comes to food and fun.
Fun on the Railroad? Try Switzerland
Suppose you like a rail journey-themed vacation; Switzerland ticks many boxes. The transportation system is excellent, but the trains are the stars of the show. Take a journey across the Alps on the Glacier Express and climb a cog railway to Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Or, head through endless tunnels and bridges on the Bernina Express in Southern Switzerland. There’s also the highest station in Europe on the Jungfrau. You can even combine a walking vacation with rail travel, hiking between stations. If you want to treat yourself, you can even take the Chocolate Train to a tasting experience. With each town and village covered, there are miles of track to explore on vacation in Switzerland.
